GIRL CRUSH OF THE WEEK: Abigail Spencer
She’s petite but she struts her stuff like a 6ft tall model. Love her style.
My barista this morning: “I can read your aura. I have a gift! You’re in love! Haha…that was a joke. No, you’re struggling with work.” 😳
If you’re keen on making yourself a piece of jewelry but want to start with something easy, then this simple but fun faux horn is a great place to start! I love the gold dipped top (or you could do bronze, silver, pink!) You can leave it on it’s own on the necklace or add a couple of other charms to the mix. Whatever you decide, you’ll end up with a piece that’s as unique as you!
Since I’ve been living with mum & dad, I’ve been loving having baths again! I don’t have one at home and it sucks. Seriously, there is nothing better than a good book and a bath. Actually, a good book, a bath, and lots of bubbles is even better! I took a trip to Lush to buy some goodies.. and left with only two things. Two very expensive things. I seriously love Lush but they are so expensive! I absolutely loved their bubble bars but was pretty sure I could make my own. In fact, I can, and at much less cost per bar than Lush! And if you’re wanting your bubble bar to smell Lush-esque, you can even buy dupes - try here if you’re from Australia - or try Natures Garden Candles (check out this list for the fragrance you’re looking for)
Honestly, who doesn’t love this charming man?
Oh. Well, shit, I need this then.
I’m all for big, chunky, bright and fun jewelry but there’s something special about a simple, delicate piece too. Hello, Whimsy shows us how to make a set of lovely bracelets that are super easy to customise to your tastes. You’ll need a few tools but once you start making, you’re going to get hooked and not be able to stop, trust me!
Start your new year on a sweet note (haha, see what I did there!?) with this candy bright calendar from Eat Drink Chic. Go on over and download your copy and enjoy a delicious new treat each month.
Making candles and soaps is one of my favourite things to do. Not only is it quite relaxing and fun, you also know exactly what is going into it - no nasties! Soy wax has lots of positive properties (check out the tutorial for them all) and is pretty easy to use. There are lots of places online that sell fragrance oil - try etsy for small quantities, or just google ‘fragrance oil’. You can even get fragrance oil dupes for your fave perfumes these days!
